Accomplishment of new formula for De Brooodzaak at railway stations in the Netherlands
MVRO renovated all the De Brooodzaak outlets at Dutch railways stations.
Details
De Brooodzaak is a familiar sandwich formula at many Dutch railway stations. The formula is derived from the Servex concept, C’est du pain. MVRO was commissioned by Servex to carry out the very first pilot project in the branch at Leiden Central Station. Following that, around 20 Brooodzaak branches were rolled out in phases throughout the country over a six-month period. Here, too, the Servex Building Affairs department outsourced the entire coordination and implementation to MVRO.
Complete process
All the C’est du pain shops were converted in line with a concept developed by the Servex formula managers. MVRO took care of the entire process for the branch in Leiden, including the installation of water and electricity. Each shop was stripped down to its shell in two weeks and then rebuilt in line with the new concept. That meant new floors, wall tiles, wall panels, ceilings, lighting, furniture, the installation of water and electricity as well as new till systems and systems to provide management information. MVRO coordinated all the work as well as managing the entire invoice flow.
Short completion time
A major part of the challenge lay in the extremely short time available for completion; all the more since the client expected far-reaching flexibility. Demolition work began on the Monday morning and on the Saturday a week later the first passengers were enjoying their tasty sandwiches in De Brooodzaak.
