New development of Julia’s pasta formula, Smullers’ snack formula and Shakie’s juice bar

Three Servex formulas were to be given their own individual identity almost simultaneously. That was the job facing MVRO in 2009. Following a successful pilot scheme at Leiden station, the job was done.

In developing the three Servex stores, Julia’s, Smullers and Shakie’s, MVRO worked closely with the architect and the client. MVRO was involved not only in the new pasta formula for Julia’s, but also in the Smullers’ snack formula and in Shakie’s juice bar. MVRO acted as sparring partner even at the concept development stage of these pilot projects and in the design stage much attention was paid to practical feasibility so that a later rollout throughout the rest of the country could be done without any hitches.

Strict protocols
External parties that work at Dutch railway stations must be precisely aware of the strict protocols that apply there. The specific regulations imposed by the Dutch Railways cover such matters as safety, continuity of operations and minimising inconvenience to travellers. As one of Servex’s regular partners, MVRO is fully aware of these regulations and makes scrupulously sure that employees of the parties with whom it collaborates at these locations adhere strictly to the regulations in force. That is an absolute requirement in order to be able to complete a project without a hitch in situations in which it is not uncommon for 10 to 15 people to be working in an area of only a few dozen square metres.
