To deliver a high-quality Swarovski store on Lijnbaangracht in Rotterdam

MVRO built a high-quality, well-finished store in monumental premises in Rotterdam for the prestigious Swarovski brand.

Sometimes the challenge lies in creating the interior. At other times, it is the technical aspects of building that sets the bar high. MVRO delivered a turnkey, shell-plus project for the prestigious Swarovski brand, which was then given a magnificent interior by the client itself.

Monumental building
The premises were an existing monumental building that had been divided into two; MVRO had already completed a Hi store for KPN in one of the sections.

Unusual stairwells
In particular, putting in the stairwells required creative constructive solutions due to the relatively thin floors between the different levels. A solution was found by covering the concrete beams with carbon fibre, as an alternative to a steel construction that would have been too heavy. MVRO delivered the new Swarovski store as a fitted-out shell, including a finished floor, walls and ceilings, kitchen, toilet facilities and security. A project completed in an innovative manner that may well herald further cooperation.
