MVRO builds Marqt superstore
The basement of the former ABN-Amro head office on Utrechtsestraat in Amsterdam is now home to the biggest branch of the most environmentally-friendly supermarket in the Netherlands. MVRO created this third Marqt branch, whose surface area is twice as big as the two existing stores.

Contacts with Limited Brands New York, the preferred architect of Victoria’s Secret, started at the end of February. The context was the construction of the first Victoria’s Secret store in Europe, in Lounge 3 at Schiphol Airport, where MVRO had already completed several projects and was working on others. The Victoria’s Secret store at Schiphol has now been completed and will be operated through Gerzon, the franchise-holder at Schiphol for all fashion-related stores. We are able to look back on the creation of this outstanding store with pride. The official opening of the fully renovated Lounge 3 at Schiphol took place on 8 September 2011.

MVRO has completed several turnkey projects for Schiphol Airport Retail (SAR) in recent months. The latest project in Lounge 3 is the store that carries the name: Fine Spirits & Cigars.

Apart from coordinating the renovation of the store and supplying the furniture, MVRO also took care of all the permit applications to enable the renovation to be carried out in compliance with Schiphol’s regulations. Safety is the top priority in these regulations.
